Good Morning!
A, B: Good Morning!
A: Can you sit there?
Yes, I can. Thank you.
A: Please tell your name and your residence.
My name is XXX and I live in YYY City.
B: First, please tell me about yourself.
Tell about myself?
B: Yes.
I got a job at ........ Prefectural Government and have worked for 18 years. (A, B 回答に「うんうん」の表情)I graduated a university in .......... But originally, I'm from ......... Prefecture. I lived in ........ until I finished my high school.
My hobbies are scuba diving and karate. As you see, I broke my left leg at a karate tournament. I should have been careful and well trained. Next time, I'll do better.
B: About your karate, without any protection?
My karate school emphasize on physical, full powered sparring without any protectors. Sometime, this kind of things happens. I broke my rib twice, but this is my first time for my leg.
B: Why do you want to be a tour guide?
(日本語での質問ではないんだと思いながら)Three years ago, our Prefectural Government had guests from Singapore. At that time, I couldn't explain well about our region to them. To introduce our region or Japan to foreign guests, first of all, I must have knowledge about our region or Japan. And then, foreign language skills are needed.
Since then, I've studied English hard everyday and take this test. After getting to be a tour guide, I could introduce about Japan better. That is the reason.
B: I'm a tourist. Now, I will ask you some questions, OK?
Yes, please.
B: I'm in Tokyo. How do I get to Mt. Fuji?
(全然何の知識も無いので「参ったな」と思いながら3秒位考えて)You can take a super express train which is called "Shinkansen" to Shizuoka Station. From there, you can take a bus to Mt.
B: I'm interested in Japanese History and heard about the Edo Period. When did the Shogunate end?
The Edo Period was from 1603 to 1867. The last shogun, 15th shogun of the Tokugawa shogunate, Tokugawa Yoshinobu returned the authority to the Imperial Court in 1867. That was the end of the shogunate government.
B: I'm also interested in Japanese cars. Where is the biggest car factory in Japan?
I believe it is in Toyota City, Aich Prefecture. The name of the city was changed from original Koromo City to Toyota City in 1959. The city was named after the Toyota Company because its main office is there. So the biggest car factory must be there. But these days, Japanese car companies produce (とっさにbuiltが出て来ず,淀みなく話すためにやむを得ずproduceを使用) their factories in Kyushu. They even try to built (ここでさっきのproduceの挽回を図る) new factories in Tohoku Region.
B: All the Japanese companies? Nissan, Matsuda?
It's about Toyota, the biggest company in Japan.
B: I'm interested in Skiing. Where is the best place for Skiing?
(「直前対策セミナー」テキストにニセコの模範解答があったのを思い出して)There are some skiing spots in Kyushu. But if you ask the best in Japan, I recommend you go to Hokkaido, Niseko. (ニセコと北海道の順序逆だと思ったが続けて)These days, a lot of Australian people visit there for good powdered snow. Since many Australians visit there, hotel clerks speak English. So it is a good place to visit for foreign tourists.(ここでAは回答に満足という表情)
A: (Bに小声で)It's time.
B: OK. It's all for today.
Thank you.
(Bが私のために席を立ってドアを開けてくれたのでBへ)Thank you.
(部屋を出ながらA, Bへ)Have a good day!
