Please tell us your name and where you live.

My name is ........ and I live in ........ city, in ........ Prefecture.

When is the best season to travel in Japan?

I would recommend autumn like now, as colored leaves are beautiful. And as it's not too hot or too cold.

How about summer?

It's hot and humid in summer, but you can enjoy fireworks displays and local summer festivals.

How is winter?

In winter, it's also good as snow is beautiful, but I recommend spring and autumn.

As it's more comfortable.(と、フォローしてくれました)

Yes.

Is tourism so important to Japan?

Tourism? Yes, it's important ...(予想しない質問だったので少し考えながら)as Japan has many traditional good things to introduce.

Are there any difficulties that foreigners come across when they travel in Japan?

Recently, it's easier than before, as you can see more signs in English ....

Are things expensive in Japan?

Yes, things are very expensive ... and because of the stronger yen these days ….

Where would you recommend if I want to go to some inexpensive restaurants in Japan?

Inexpensive restaurant? Oh, I would recommend Kaiten-zushi restaurants.(試験官Aが少し怪訝な表情をするので気持ち怯んだが)Kaiten-zushi literally means "circulating sushi" and there's a conveyer belt with sushi plates, and you can choose whatever you like on the belt. One plate of food costs only about 100 yen. There are sweets and udon noodles too.(試験官A「へー、そういうメニューもあるのね?」

What do you do in the Star festival in Japan?(Festival in Japan?

Oh, the star festival. We decorate bamboo branches in the garden or entrance of our houses with colorful decorations and slips of paper. We write wishes on the slips of paper.(少し間が空いたので)May I explain the origin?

According to a Chinese legend, there were two lovers, Kengyu, the cowherd and Shokujo, the weaver. They love each other too much and they forgot their jobs. So the God got angry and separated them by the Milky way. And only once a year they can see each other.

Oh, what a romantic story!

But why do you make a wish?

I think, during the rest of the year, they want to see each other very much and make a wish to see each other …. So we also make a wish.

Oh I see.(と納得したように)How do you explain shoji and fusuma?

Shoji is a Japanese sliding door of wooden frames with thin white paper, and Fusuma is a wooden door with thick paper on it.

Why do the Japanese use paper?

(予想しない質問だったので、少し考え沈黙)I think paper is one of the Japanese traditional works,(あ、そうだと少し思いついて)and as you can decorate the sliding doors with painting.

Is shoji too?

Not shoji. I mean the Fusuma. Some of them have beautiful painting decorations.
Thank you very much.
