B: Good morning. Please put your stuff and have a seat. Please introduce yourself, name and where you live.

My name is …. I live in the center of Osaka, Abeno Ward.

A: Now, I have some questions to ask. Why do young people want to go abroad?

I think young people in Japan are more interested in foreign countries than Japan itself, because they are attractive and exotic. But when getting older, they come to know more about Japan like me.

A: Were you interested in foreign countries when you were young? Where did you go? Were you living there?

Yes, I was. I have been to the U.S. twice and Malaysia and Thailand once, but I have never lived there. Just two days ago, I was working as an interpreter for Australians. I am working as an interpreter so I have many friends all over the world.

A: Next, why in Japan do women serve tea in a company?

This trend is changing, but when I was working for some trading company, while I was doing the same job as men, I was forced to do so. Once I insisted this is unfair to my senior staff and boss, talking why do we have to do it. But getting older, I realized, that a woman serves tea is more comfortable and suitable. So now I think I am appreciating it.

A: Next question, do you want to do space trip?

I think this is a great idea. I have often heard about this news. But traveling to space costs a lot. I think this kind of money should go to people suffering from poverty and starvation.

A: If you have lots of money, then do you want to go?

Yes, I do. I love to.

A: OK. That’s all for today.

Thank you.
