B;please have a seat.
(良かったら荷物はそこの机の上に置いて下さいみたいな事を英語で)
Thank you.
Good afternoon.
A;please tell me your name.
My name is ....... and I'm from Osaka, Neyagawa city.
B;what is Neyagawa city famous for?
There is a huge park constructed by Neyagawa municipal government, it is like the Central Park in NY City. People enjoy jogging in the morning, and we also enjoy blooming flowers in spring , beautiful colored leaves in autumn. It's really beautiful.
B;Thank you. Let's start the questions.
(試験官が旅行者で私がガイドというような説明はありませんでした)
B;Why did you take this examination?
I took this examination because, of course, I would like to be a tour guide. This is from my experience in my travel. When I went to NY for travel, I was guided by a bilingual tour guide and I really enjoyed the NY City, so I've decided to be a tour guide like her.
B;When was the last summer Olympics in Japan?
(自信がなかったので)I think the last Olympics held in Japan was the Tokyo Olympics in 1964.In this year also the Shinkansen began first operating.
B;What kind of fish can you catch around Japan?
Well, we catch tuna, yellow tail, and squid. Those are popular fish for sashimi.
B;I've heard that Japanese eat whales. Have you ever eaten whales?
I'm sorry, I have never eaten whales.
But I've heard from my mother that they often had whales for their lunch at their elementary school.
And still now, I sometimes see whales at a supermarket so if you'd like to experience, I would recommend you to buy one.
B;I've heard that there are some different types of writing in Japanese. Is that true?
Yes, there are 3 types of writing in Japan. The first is Kanji, which were introduced from China.
And the second is Hiragana, which are cursive phonetic characters. The third is Katakana, which are angular phonetic characters. Hiragana and Katakana were developed in Japan.
B;When foreign tourists come to Japan, where would you take them in Kyoto?
I would take them to Kiyomizu shrine. There is a huge magnificent red torii at the entrance.
You can also enjoy the beautiful view from the high stage constructed over the hill.
(春に桜が見られる事を何で言わなかったのか悔やまれます。)
最後に、試験官2人で'これで終わりだよね?いいよね?'みたいな感じで顔を見合わせてから、
B;that's it,thank you といわれました。
Thank you.
試験官Bの様子から、なんだか不吉な予感がします。。。
覚えているのは以上の質問です。
