A: May I have your name please?
My name is ....
A: And where are you from?
I'm from ...
A: So, you came here today.
Yes,...no, I came here yesterday.
A: How do you get here?
I used the express train.
B: Well, then I'll give you some questions.
Yes.
B: In winter, how is the weather in Okinawa, and how is the weather in Hokkaido?
The weather in Okinawa is mild and sunny, and in Hokkaido, it's cold, snows a lot and sometimes freezing.
B: Interesting. OK, when was the last Summer Olympics were held?
Tokyo... they were held in 1964, about 40 years ago.
B: Wow, it was a long time ago.
Yes.
B: Is wearing a swimsuit in hot springs allowed?
No, it is not allowed.
B: Why?
Because, it is not good for hygiene, and also customary, Japanese people are not used to doing it, they may be surprised to see people wearing a swimsuit.
B: What kind of fish can you catch around the sea?
You can catch a lot of fish, such as tuna, salmon, and mackerel.
B: What kind of fish do you like best?
I like tuna best.
B: Where can I catch that fish?
You can catch it in the sea near Kochi, which faces the Pacific Ocean on the south.
B: Is it far from here?
Yes. It's far from here.
B: How far from here?
I'm sorry I'm not sure.
B: Tell me about the difference between shrines and temples?
In a shrine, there is a gateway called torii at the entrance, and in a temple, there is not a gateway, but has a graveyard.
B: What kind of religion are they based on?
The shrine is based on Shinto, it's an indigenous religion of Japan, and the temple is based on Buddhism, a religion came from China.
B: So, do you believe in both.
Yes.
B: That's interesting.
I think so.
A: That's all for now.
Thank you very much.
