A: Please put your baggage on the chair.
Yes,
A: Please have a seat.
Thank you,
A: Smile!! more Smile. This is important
Thank you,
A:May I Have your name?
My name is .......... .
A:Where are you from?
I'm from Osaka.
B: I'm a tourist. I've heard there is a rainy season in Japan. How is it like?
Rainy season starts in June and last about one month. During the season it rains a lot. This rain is necessary for agricultural reason.
B: I see, Can I know the weather beforehand?
Yes, weather report tells us. You can check by the newspaper or internet. It doesn't mean it rains every day, probably three days in one week. So if you know the weather, even rainy season you cam enjoy outside travel.( Activityと言うべきだったがとっさに言葉が出てこず、travelと言ってしまった)
B: I know . I think Japan has a wide variety in weather. What do you think , what is it like the weather in Hokkaido and weather in Okinawa in winter
I think Okinawa even winter it is warm. You ca spend without heater, or (出てこなかったのでいいなおす)… without heater. Probably daytime temperature is around 20 degree. In Hokkaido it is very cold. Outside daytime temperature is 0 degree.
B: 0 degree? Oh!
I think so and during night time much more colder. Of course it depends on the area.
B: I see. I understand the weather is very different. Talking of differences,(もっと複雑に自然に次の話題へと繋げて行かれました)Meiji Restoration brought Japan something different. Could you say how it was modernized?
Yes, before Meiji it was Edo period and at that time Tokugawa Shogunate took a isolation policy and at the end of Edo period when they thought how they open the country. After Meiji we try to make everything modern, for example education system and next we thought we need a diet and next political party…(ここらへんで自分の言っていることにあまり自信がなくなってきた)試験官Bの反応もイマイチのようにプレッシャーを感じ始めた頃)
B: uh.. then about marine…… what did they achieve?
You mean "marine", it means nowadays?
B: no! no! at that time.
Yes, I think they thought… in order to cope with western world it is necessary to make the country stronger. So by the end of Meiji they produce ships and weapons.
B: hum.. you mean military?
Yes!
B: OK, by the way I'd like to go to Onsen, is it possible to wear swimsuits to in Onsen?
Generally speaking No . It is not allowed. You have to take off your all dresses(言いながらword choiceを間違えていると思いました), but there are some Onsens men and women enjoy together. If you want to enter with your swimsuits you can go that kind of Onsen.
B: OK. that is everything. Toward A "Do you have something to ask?"
A: No,
Thank you very much.
