Good afternoon. please tell us your name and where you live.

My name is ........ I'm from ........ city, ........

Thank you. Today is a nice day, isn't it?

Yes, it's a beautiful day. The train was so crowded with the people who were going to see colored autumn leaves.

I see. By the way, where is the best spot for autumn leaves in the Kansai region?

Well, there are so many good spots. But among them, I would reccomend Arashiyama Hill in Kyoto.

Why do you think it is the best spot?

Well, it's because you can enjoy autumn leaves and great nature there. Arashiyama is surrounded by mountains, and a big river is flowing, and you can find many suvenior shops in the street.

Oh,it's nice. But there are lots of crowd, right?

Yes.well... The train is usually so crowded, but once you get to the destination, it isn't so crowded.(イエスだけではダメだろうか、何か情報を付け足さなければと思いとっさにこう言ってしまった。)

How can I get there from here?

There are several ways. One way is to go there by bus. and you can also get there by train, exchanging some trains.

I see. Then, I have one question. why Japanese people love cherry blossom?

Well, firstly it is because it symbolizes the beginning of life. In Japan, school chirdlen start their new school life in April, and new guraduates starts new social life in April as well. so cherry blossom is thought to be a good omen for new life. Secondly, cherry blossoms also symbolizes fleeting beauty. Cherry blossoms are in full bloom only for a short period, usually a week or so, Japanese people appreciate this transient beauty.

Now I understand. Then, where is the best spot for viewing cherry blossoms in Kansai?

Well,I would recommend Maruyama park in Kyoto prefecture, Yoshino Mountain In Nara prefecture, and Shukugawa in Hyogo prefecture.

Is there any flower Japanese people like except for the cherry blossom?

Yes, it is the plum blossom. Japanese people also loves plum trees. From ancient times, the plum blossom has been thought to be a noble flower, especially by court nobles. So people also enjoy plum blossom viewing, for example, Kitano Tenmangu Shrine hold a plum tree festival on February.

I see. Where is Kitano Tenmangu?

Kyoto?

Yes, yes,in Kyoto. you can get there from Kyoto station to the front of the Kitano tenmangu shrine by city bus.(助け舟のおかげで、詳しい場所は説明できなかったが行き方を提示しなんとかしのいだ。)

is city bus expensive?

No, it is not so expensive. Generally, you can go around Kyoto city in a fixed price of 220yen.

OK. I have one more question. Samurai always have two swords, why is that?

you mean number two?(刀が二本??

yes, two.(指で二本と指し示して頂く)

well...., I'm not so sure, but I think, sumrai had two swords for one thing to kill someone in a battle or conflict, and for another thing, because a sword symbolizes the status of samurai, so samurai had many swords like to correct artifact...(全く分からなかったので、憶測で答えるがかなり支離滅裂だったように思います)

OK.That's all for today. Thank you very much.

Thank you.
