What's your name?

My name is .........

Where do you live?

I live in .........

How did you come here today? How many times did you change trains?

Twice.

This is a small talk, next he will give you questions.

I'd like to visit a Japanese garden. Where do you recommend ?

I recommend Byodoin. Of course, Byodoin is famous for its building, but it also has a nice garden. That is a typical Japanese landscape garden. There is a pond in the center, and you can walk around it and enjoy it. There are also beautiful flowers, for example, cherry blosoms and azalea are famous.

OK, are there any other gardens?

Well, Kinkakuji temple also has a very beautiful garden. Especially this season, autumn leaves turn beautiful crimsons.

Next history question. How was Nara era like?

It started 710 and continued , roughly for 90 years. At that time there were a lot of wars so they thought they would build temples hoping that the world would be peaceful. We can see the temples even now.(実際は上記の意味のような内容でもう少し長く答えたように思います)

Why did they move the capital to Kyoto?

As I told before, there were many wars, so they had a bad image about Nara, they needed completely something new and they thought new city planning is necessary.

Well, I see, then what kind of war was there?

I am sorry I don’t remember the name, but there were,, somebody assassinated…

Don’t worry .. It’s OK.(と慰めてくれました)

Then next we have a geography question. How is Hakone like?

It is located near Tokyo. There are many hot-springs. From there you can enjoy the view of Mt. Fuji. It is also near the sea, so you can enjoy the scenary and there is lot of greenery.

Yes.

I mean there are lots of trees and mountains. The view is nice. You can relax.

This is the last question. These days the economy is very bad. What, do you think, should be done?

Well, there are many reasons,,, But these days by using computers some people buy and sell stocks and currencies very actively, too actively, so the price is suddenly up and down, very dramatically. It is not good, so I think some regulations are necessary.

Do you think do we need more regulations?(かなり不服な様子)

Yes, but only about this. Buying and selling stocks, Even at this moment some people are making tremendous money, I think it is not the way to make money.

I see.
