試験官

<試験官A>

<試験官B>

Good morning.

Good morning. Which seat should I take?(椅子が2つ並んでたので。)

As you like.(みたいなことを、言われたのでAに近い方を選んだ。)What is your name?

I'm ........ . I'm from ........ .

Well, we are tourists.(ジェスチャーで後ろにも沢山いるよと言う感じを演出。)We are now in front of Todaiji, so would you tell me about Todaiji?

Todaiji is about 50m by about 50m,and the old biggest wooden building in Japan(in the world なのに・・・年代も言い忘れた。).In the building(temple?), there is a big buddhist statue.

What was it made of?

It is made of bronze.(多分,自信はないけれど)In the building, there is a pillar with a big hole.

Oh,I know. What does it mean?

But I saw a person stuck in the hole and other people around him encouraged him get out.

Ah, my Canadian friend was stuck the other day.(話を継いでくれた。)When we leave Nara, our bus has a trouble. What are you going to do for us?

As I always have origami, I'll distribute a piece of paper and show how to make a paper crane. After finishing the trouble(finishは変だけど意味は通じてる見たい),a beautiful paper crane will be left on their hands.

It's a nice souvenir!(Bと顔を見合わせてニコニコしてうなずく。)What is 53 stations in Tokaido(「東海道53次」と言ったかも知れない。)?

There were 53 stations from Edo, now Tokyo to Kyoto. They are well-known by Hiroshige's wood block prints,ukiyoe. Ukiyoe is very popular amongtourists.(AB顔を見合わせ、うなずく。 In Edo period, there was no Shinkansen,a Bullet train,so it took much more time to travel, so they had to stay.

How long did they take? and How did they go? Horse?

I'm not sure(!)but it took much time. Some used horse,or carriage(駕籠みたいな乗り物を言いたかったけれど、これでは馬車みたい。)but usually on foot.

Recently I saw the tree wrapped with a blanket, what is it?

It is covered to protect from a cold weather and to protect from germ or bad worm(松食い虫が判らなかったので、色々言ってみた).It is made of straw and it is called 'komo' in Japanese. It is one of winter scenes in Japan.

Thank you. Now I got it.(何か質問があるか、Bに聞く。)

What is Meiji Restoration?

After commodore Perry arriving, Japan opened country. In Edo period, only 2 countries, China and Dutch were allowed to export and import(trade を思い出さなかった)but after meiji Restoration, Japan started trading with other countries. Then their life changed dramatically.

What was changed?

They changed their hairstyle and abolished wearing the sword.... Their lifestyle was westernized.

Thank you.(これで、終わりです、みたいなこと言った。)

Thank you, Have a good day!
