A,B: Hello.

Hello.

A: Please sit down.

Thank you.

A: Please introduce yourself briefly.

My name is .... I'm from ....

A: I'm going to ask you about fashion magazines. Why do Japanese fashion magazines use foreign models?

I think that's because we think it's fashionable. Since Japanese are homogeneous people, we are interested in different things. Foreign models are taller and fit in clothes.

A: Beccham ... Why do you think he is appealing to girls in Asia, including my students?

I think he played a good performance in soccer in the World Cup last year. And he looks kind, and he always takes care of his family. He often appears with his family on TV. That's why I think he is appealing to girls in Asia.

A: A lot of people use electronic dictionaries. Do you know what they are?

Yes.

A: What do you think about electronic dictionaries?

I think it is convenient. I use it at work everyday. But the characters, display is small, so elderly people cannot see. I think this should be improved. Also, there are many electronic dictionaries for us, but there are not for foreigners who want to pronounce Japanese. I think we should create it, roman letters ...

B: What is "ochoko"?

Ochoko is a small cup for sake. Sake can be cold or hot. We pour sake(と言いながら、身振りで示す)into ochoko, and have it with one sip or two sips.

A: Crime rate ... the crime rate of young people like you is increasing. Why is that?

I think this is related to women's work. A lot of women work nowadays. If mothers work children have to be kept in nursery and after-school school(わかってもらえたようだが). Parents should spend more time on children and take care of them, so the children can be monitored carefully.

A: More about clothing.... Why many people like to wear anti-bi... fabrics?
(anti-bi...

I don't understand anti-bi....

Anti-bi ... is chemical fabric like nylon ....

Not like cotton...?

If we wear cotton, we have to iron. Say, if a businessman wears a cotton shirt, we have to iron. It takes time. People are busy. If we wear these fabrics, we don't get shrink.

A: Thank you.

Thank you.
