Good afternoon.(おじぎ)

C: Hello. Please sit down.

Thank you. May I put may bag there?

C: Please.

Thank you. (バッグを置き、3人に向かっておじぎをして) And thank you very much for giving me this opportunity.

C: Now, could you tell me your name and where you come from?

Do you mean where I come from today or where I'm originally from?

Either is fine.

Now I live in Takadanobaba in shijuku ward, Tokyo, but I'm originally from Yamaguchi Prefecture near Hagi.

C: Thank you.(にこっとされたので、こちらも微笑み返す)

A: So how are you today?

I'm a bit nervous(ちょっと胸を押さえるジェスチャーをした) but I'm fine.
How are you?(日本人2人がまたオー、ホッホッホとのけぞり喜ぶ)

A: Oh thank you. I'm fine.(私も微笑み返す)
Now I'd like to ask you some simple questions.

OK.

A: Why is Hanami so popular?

It is because there's been a long tradition to enjoy cherry blossom viewing party, which dates back to the 12th century. It is considered to reflect Japanese culture and it's a symbol of Japanese culture.

A: So did you go to Hanami?

Yes, I went to... Ueno this year. People have outdoor party under the tree,
enjoy the flowers & drinking. It's a lot of fun.

A: Now, what do you think about having foreign Sumo wrestlers?

I think it is good to have foreign wrestlers because by internationalizing the Japanese traditional sport, we can enhance mutual understanding. By internationalizing we can (ここで焦り、つまる)

A: We have top Sumo wrestler from Mongolia.

Sorry I an quite nervous.(微笑みながらまた胸に手を当てる)

A: That's OK. (微笑みながら)Do you like Sumo?

A: Have you been to watch Sumo?

No I haven't. But I usually watch it on T.V.

A: O.K. Now, what is New Year's party?

It is called Sin-nen-kai in Japanese, and colleagues or friends get together to have a drink and hope we will have
a good year. It's a lot of fun.

A: Where is it held?

A: It is held in a Japanese-style tavern called Izakaya, where Japanese style tapas are served.

A: What types of foods are served?

They serve Sake & Shochu, and also Japanese style food, for example, Sashimi, Edamame, and Nikujaga.

A: Now, what do you do in the New year?

I usually go back to my hometown to see my parents and old friends, and go to shrines & temples to wish a good
fortune throughout the year.

A,B: Thank you.

A: That's the end of the exam.

Really? I was so nervous that I didn't notice the time passed so quickly.

A: (わらって) Yes, the time flies so fast.

Thank you very much.
Thank you very much.
