  (質問文の再現は忘れてしまいできないが、カナダから日本に来て、       
   カナダと比べてたくさんのアパートを見かけるといった内容の後)
  What do you think about this?

Japan is a small country. (と言い始めて質問の内容が不明確だったので)Did you ask me if
Japan is a small country? (と尋ねた)

A: Yes. Please relax. (丁寧な言い方)

(最初から答え始めた)Compared with Canada, Japan is a small country.
Japan doesn’t have enough land for Japanese to live in comfortably.
Especially, Tokyo is overcrowded. There is heavy demand for housing in
Japan.

A: Many foreigners are coming to work in Japan. What do you think about
this?

I think it is good. But the rapid increase in foreigner workers will
lead to joblessness of Japanese.

I think that the government should limit the number of people who
plan
to work in Japan.
