B: Hello.

Hello.

B: Please sit down.

Thank you.

B: Please tell us your name and where you live.

My name is ○○○○, and I live in ○○○○ in Kanagawa prefecture.

A: Good afternoon. I'm going to ask you a couple of questions. Please imagine that I'm a tourist who has just come to Japan.

Yes.

A: I've heard some superstition, and I don't understand the meaning. When you come across a funeral site, people fold a thumb. Why do you do this?

I'm sorry, but I don't know the superstition. I will study it soon. But, since many funerary things are related to Shinto religion, I think it might be related to purification or cleanness, but I will study. I'm sorry.

A: OK, next. They are talking about bird flu. What do you think about it?

Well, I think it is a serious problem. I have heard that the Japanese government is worried about it and bought a lot of medicine, called Tamiflu. But, as other Asian countries need the medicine more, I think, the Japanese government should allocate it in the region.

A: OK. The next question is, I heard a word, "gagaku." What does it mean?
"
Well, "gagaku" is an imperial music and dance. "Gagaku" refers to two types: "kangaku," which is about an orchestra consisting of a flute and drums, and "bugaku," which is an imperial dance. "Gagaku" is performed on special occasions such as festive occasions. Therefore, it is not popular among general people. It is hard to see for general people.

A: So, if I want to see, can't I see it?

Of course, you can see it. Well, probably, on some festive occasions, or maybe I think if you check the schedule, you can see it at the National Theatre.

A: OK, I will check it. Thank you.

Thank you.

Thank you.
