A： Could you tell us geographical features of Japan?
Japan is located in the northeastern part of Asia. Japan consists of four main islands and many small islands. In Japan there are lots of mountains and plain fields where people can live are limited. So, Japan’s population density is very high especially in large cities such as Tokyo and Osaka.
A：Could you recommend a historical town?
I would recommend Kamakura. Kamakura was the seat of the Kamakura Shogunate, about 800 years ago. In Kamakura there are many places of historical interest including temples, shrines, and museums. And on the way you can stop by at souvenir shops selling things unique to Japan and there are nice Japanese restaurants. If you walk along the seashore, you can feel refreshed and see Mt. Fuji over the ocean on a clear day.
A：Could you tell me a Japanese national sport?
Sumo wrestling is the national sport of Japan, but nowadays sumo is not so popular. One of the reasons is that foreign wrestlers are more active than Japanese ones. Now the sumo grand champion is a Mongolian wrestler. I hope Japanese wrestlers will become more active in the sumo world.
A：Could you tell us more about sumo?
