A: Good morning. Please have a seat.
B: Good morning. Sit down, please.

Thank you, sir.
A: Please tell us your full name and address.
My name is XXX and I live in YYY City in ....
A: Please tell us where the largest automobile factory is in Japan.
It is in Nagoya, in Aichi Prefecture. As you know Toyota Motor will become the world largest auto maker.
A: Where is Aichi? Is it north of Tokyo?
It is in the center of Japan, facing the Pacific Ocean.
A: How long does it take from here to Aichi?
It takes about an hour or two by the shinkansen.
A: How often does the train start?
It runs every five to ten minutes.
A: Oh! That is very convenient. Next question, how often do Japanese people take a bath?
I may say, we take a bath almost every day.
A: You like bath so much. How about shower?
Some young people prefer shower to bath.
A: Why does Japan have so many hot springs?
It is because Japan is located on the boundaries of tectonic plates. We have a lot of volcanoes. Japan has 80 active volcanoes among 800 active volcanoes in the world, one tenth of all in this small country.
A: Isn’t it dangerous?
Maybe, but we don’t care much about it. Mt. Fuji last erupted nearly, um, it erupted in 1707, so 300years ago.
A: How long does it take from here to Mt. Fuji?
Oh! You asked me the very good question for me. I climbed Mt. Fuji 23 times. It takes for only one and half hour drive from my house.
A: Oh, is it? But I don’t have a car.
Excuse me, sir. You can take Fujikyu line, which runs through JR from Shinjuku. It takes about one hour from Shinjuku to Fujiyosida. There, you can transfer to a bus. It takes you to the fifth station of Mt. Fuji within an hour.
A: How high is the fifth station?
It’s about one thousand, excuse me, two thousand five hundred meters from the sea level.
A: How many hours does it take to get to the top of Mt. Fuji?
It depends on person to person. Some competing runners can run up in an hour or two, but usually people take five to ten hours. I guided foreign customers two times to the top.
A: Let’s change the subject.? When did the last shogun govern Japan?
Well, it ended in 1868, so it was one hundred and, um, fifty years ago.
A: Were there any people other than samurai?
Yes, there were farmers, merchants and artisans.
A: Thank you. This is all for today.
B: Thank you.

Thank you very much, sir.
Japan is located on the boundaries of tectonic plates.
