受験者( 27 ):女性

(ドアをノックし、部屋に入る。笑顔で試験官を見る。椅子の近くまで来たときに、)
B:Please put your bag and your coat on the table.
O.K, thank you.
Hello.
A:Hello
B:Hello! Please take a seat.
JThank you.
(椅子に座る。AもBも笑顔。)
B:Please tell us your name.
My name is ....
B:And where are you from?
I'm from .... A:YYY? Which station is that?
Ueno Station.
A:Oh, Ueno Station. That's pretty famous. Okay, I would like to ask you some questions.
All right.
A:I want to go fishing. Where can I fish in Japan?
Oh, fishing. (想定外の質問だったので、かなりびっくりした。魚の名前が全然わからなかったので、どうしようかうろたえてしまった。)We eat a lot of fish, so fishing is a popular hobby among Japanese. Well, if you go to the north, you can fish sea breams. And you can fish salmons too. If you go to Hokkaido, you can fish a lot of salmons.
A:Okay. How about if I want to fish in Tokyo?
Ummm...(ここでハゼやキスなどが思い浮かんだが、英語名称がわからないため、とまどう。)Well you can fish in Tokyo too, but as the water is not that clean compared to other places, you can fish smaller fishes like.... I don't know the name of the fish, but it will be smaller than what you can fish in other places.
A:Okay. Next question. How did Japan change after the Meiji Restoration?
After the Meiji Restoration, people started to wear western clothes, and food containing meat, such as sukiyaki became very popular. This is because after Commodore Perry came to Japan in 1854, Japan concluded a treaty with the U.S, and after that, western products and western culture came into Japan.(ここで、大政奉還のことも言えばよかったのですが、すっかり忘れてしまっていました。)
A:Okay. Then, can you explain us about the Japanese writing system?
We use Kanji, Hiragana and Katakana. Kanji is Chinese characters and came from China. Hiragana are simplified Kanji, and we use it in combination with Kanji. And, we use Katakana for foreign words.(A,Bともにうなずく。)
A:Why do you words which came from China?
(的確な答えが思いつかなかったのでありきたりなことを答えた。)This is because from old days, Japan was influenced by China for a long time, for example cultures. At the same time, Chinese characters were introduced to Japan. I think that's why we use Chinese words.(A, Bともにうなずく。)
A:Okay. Thanks. I think that's all. Do you have anything? (Bのほうを向く。Bは笑顔で首を横にふる。)
Okay then, I think that's all for the interview. Thank you very much. Very good! (といいながら、親指を立てて、かるくウィンクしてくれた感じ。)
Thank you very much!
