Good morning.
A:Good morning.
B:Good morning. Please be seated.
(荷物を持っていたので、後ろの机を指差して)Can I?(文章で言えませんでした。)
B:Sure. Please leave your bag.
Thank you.
A:What is your name and where are you from?
My name is .... I live in .... City, ....
B:Let me ask you some questions.
Yes.
B:How do I get to Mt. Fuji?
(予想外の質問に困惑)There are various ways to get to Mt. Fuji. Buses are available from Tokyo. Also to Gotenba station JR lines are available. Then you can go to Mt.Fuji by bus. (分からないのに、下手に頑張ってしまい、しどろもどろ)I think you can use Shinkansen to Odawara station or somewhere in Shizuoka, then you can get to Gotenba.
B:How long does it take to get to Mt. Fuji?
Actually I took a bus to Gotenba・・・. I think it takes about 1 hour or something・・・.(家で調べたら新宿から富士山5合目まで2時間25分でした。)
B:Why are there so many hot springs in Japan?
Japan is blessed with active volcanoes・・・.(ここでblessed with は違うと思い) I mean Japan is a volcanic country. Therefore there are many hot springs in Japan.
B:Why do so many Japanese go to hot springs?
Sorry?
B:Why do so many Japanese go to hot springs?
The reason why Japanese people go to hot springs?
B:Yes.
About 3,000 hot-spring resorts are throughout the county. Therefore it is easy for people to get to hot springs nearby. And Japanese people tend to enjoy soaking in a deep, hot bath at their private homes. So, people enjoy soaking in a large bathtub in a hot spring resort. Also it is said that hot spring is effective various diseases.
B:You mean hot spring's minerals affect diseases?
Yes, yes so.
B:Where can I ski in Japan?
I recommend that you go to Niseko ski resort in Hokkaido. Niseko offers fine powder snow. When I skied in Niseko I found myself a good skier, but it was my misconception. It was Niseko's fine snow made me a good skier. So if you go to Niseko you can enjoy skiing with the wonderful snow.
B:Where can be found large car factories in Japan?
I would say it is Aichi prefecture. Toyota's headquarters is located in Aichi. The name of Toyota city is named after Toyota car company.
B:Do you mean Toyota Motor Corporation is named after the city?
No, no. The name of the city has changed because of the company.
B:When was the last shogun?
It was in 1868 when the last shogun was Tokugawa Yoshinobu, the 15th shogun of the Tokugawa shogunate. (1867
B:Did he serve as shogun for a long?
No, just one year.
B:Oh really? Thank you very much.
(いよいよ日本語の質問かと身構えAの方を見たが何事もなく)Is that all?
A,B:Yes. Thank you.
Oh thank you. Thank you very much.
