Yes, good points...(なかなか利点が思いつかないが、だまっているわけにいかないのでとりあえず話し出す)One of the advantages of wooden structure is that it is easy to rebuild.(試験官2人、えっという顔。ここで別の利点を思いつき話題を変える。In a wooden structure, wind comes in between wooden boards. It is so humid in summer in Japan. It is comfortable to live in a wooden house in Japan.

How do you choose the prime minister in Japan?

Very difficult question....In Japan, each person doesn't have a vote to choose the prime minister, but we have a right to choose a particular party. We can not choose the prime minister directly. And there is an election to select the leader among the biggest party, and the leader is automatically to be the prime minister of the nation.

Why do Japanese people eat seabream in happy occasions?

Seabream???(また聞かれた、という感じでかばんのなかから本を取り出し調べようとするが…)

We call it Tai.

Oh! ... We eat seabream on occasions such as a wedding celemony and the birth of a baby. I think it is because the fish simbolizes happiness and prosperity. But I'm not sure why it is a symbol of happiness. Please let me check. I'll tell you later.

Let me see. My favorite Japanese food is... rice. Rice is basic food for Japanese,and almost everyone likes rice. Personally,my parents are from Niigata, which is very famous for rice-producing. I eat tasty rice every day so that's why I love rice.

Where is your favorite place to visit?

My favorite place to visit is Hakone,and I recommend that you go there. It is easy to get to Hakone from the center of Tokyo. It takes about one hour. Hokone is characterized by hot spring resorts,beutiful scenery,and plentiful facilities,such as museums for art and history. Also you can enjoy the beautiful view of Mt. Fuji from Hakone.

I love eating. I enjoy eating various types of food as there are so many types of restaurants in Tokyo.

Why do you want to be a tour guide?

First of all,I want foreign tourist to have a wonderful time in Japan. From my personal experience that I worked in the Japan and China Friendship Association,I learnd that it was very important to know each other at personal level to promote friendship between two contries. So I want foreign tourists to know Japan more,and hopefully want them to love Japan. At the same time,I want to get to know people from all over the world.

受験の感想

話をした順番はかなりあいまいです。趣味の話をしているあたりでベルがなり、すぐに終わるのかと思ったのですが、それからかなり話が続いたように思います。最後の方は雑談のような感じでした。常に励まして下さるようなお二人の姿勢に、ずいぶん励まされました。今思うと、文法はかなりボロボロで、ここに書いたものよりさらにひどかったと思います。
