Good afternoon.(最初に挨拶しようと心がけた)

Good afternoon.May I have your name and where do you come from?

My name is ........ I live in ........

I see. What are Fifty-three Stages of the Tokaido?

It was an important road in the Edo period which extended from the 17th century to the 19th century. The road started at Nihonbashi, Edo, today's Tokyo and ended in Osaka.(と答えたが、京都が正しい)。It contributed the economy and commerce in those days. It is still important.

That's correct. Would you explain one of them?

I would like to talk about Hiratsuka. There's a mountain which is dipicted in Ukiyoe, or a woodblock printing.I'm familiar with the city.

Oh, it's Hokusai.

It's Hiroshige, I think.

Oh, yes, Hiroshige. I have no cash except credit cards in my purse. How can I get cash?

No cash? Only credit card?(時間かせぎ)

Yes. Only credit card.

Mmm, I can't think of (・・・しかしこのままではまずいと思い・・・)I think you should go to shops where credit cards are available.

OK. What would you do if you get the heavy traffic jam in the highway due to the traffic accident? You are with tourists and have extra hours.

I would explain about a Japanese art, Ukiyoe, woodblock printing.Ukiyoe developed in Edo period. It influenced European painters in those days. The tourists would show interest in Ukiyoe.

OK. That' all.

That's all?

Yes.

Thank you very much.
