What is Japan's climate like? (かなり早口)

Japan has four distinct seasons, spring, summer, autumn, and winter.(winterがなかなか出てこなかった) And the Japanese climate is influenced by geographical extent, winter and summer monsoons, ocean currents and rugged topography.(こは3百選どおりに答える)The Japanese archipelago extends from northeast to southwest. So, the climate differs according to the region. In addition, in the early summer, there is a rainy season called “tsuyu” and typhoons strike Japan from early summer through autumn.

Which season do you like best?

I like spring best because very beautiful cherry blossoms are in full bloom. In spring, I can enjoy viewing cherry blossoms while strolling.

There are a lot of Buddhist temples in Kamakura. Why are there so many temples in Kamakura?

Kamakura was the seat of the military government called Kamakura Shogunate from the end of 12th century through the early 14th century. So, there were a lot of worriers and naturally many conflicts occurred. I guess tha these temples were constructed to console souls of the dead in these conflicts.

I hear Japanese houses are made of wood. Are all of them made of wood?

Most of them are made of wood, but these days some people live in a condominium which is mainly made of concrete.

Why are many houses made of wood?

Maybe it is related to the Japanese climate. In Japan, especially in summer, it is very hot and humid. So, Houses made of wood make us comfortable even in summer because wind or breeze easily blows through the inside of the houses.

I heard SANKINKOUTAI(参勤交代) was carried out in the Edo period. That means (ひとしきり、参勤交代を説明) Please explain why it was carried out?(「参勤交代」は日本語)

During the Edo period, the Tokugawa shogunate, the military government, ruled Japan, and the government wanted to dominate the power by forcing the feudal lords to carry out SANKINKOUTAI because they had to spend much money. In other words, the Tokugawa Shogunate tried to prevent feudal lords from plotting rebellion by robbing them of their economic power.

Please tell me how Japanese prime minister is elected?

Unlike the U.S. or other developed countries, we can not choose the prime minister directly. These days, Japan’s largest political party, the Liberal Democratic Party chooses its party leader and then the leader actually becomes Japan’s prime minister. I think it’s a shame that we can not choose our political leader directly.

Japanese people usually eat sea breams on festive occasions? Is it true? and why?

It's true. The Japanese word for sea bream, “tai” sounds similar to the word, “mede-tai” or being happy. And in Japan their color of red is considered an auspicious color. So tai is often served broiled completely whole from head to tail on happy occasions.

Do you like fish?

Of course, I like.fish better than meat.

Which fish do you like best?

I like tuna best.

(Bに向かって合図して) well, Ms. ........, tha's all. Thank you very much for today.

Thank you very much for your time.
